A zone may be one single sensor device such as a motion or glassbreak detector, or it may be a group of similar sensors such as window contacts in a single room. If there is a problem arming the system the alarm control unit will display the zone that has a problem making it easy to find and correct a problem. In the event of an accidental activation of the system the zone indication shows where the alarm or alarms originated.
