Damar Security Systems Renews Prestigious TMA Five Diamond Monitoring Center Designation
Sarnia, ON, 16/09/2025 — The Monitoring Association (TMA) is pleased to announce that Damar Security Systems has once again renewed its designation as a TMA Five Diamond Monitoring Center.
This elite certification is awarded annually to monitoring centers that meet the industry’s highest standards of excellence in five key areas:
- Commitment to ongoing education, with 100% of monitoring operators certified through TMA’s training series on industry best practices.
- Commitment to random inspections and quality criteria standards by nationally recognized testing laboratories.
- Commitment to raising industry standards through active TMA membership and participation.
- Commitment to reducing false dispatches.

Achieving the Five Diamond designation means that Damar Security Systems has demonstrated an exceptional level of responsibility to the communities and customers it serves. To earn and maintain this distinction, every Damar operator must complete comprehensive training covering all aspects of monitoring center communications with customers and emergency services. Operators are also tested and recertified every three years to maintain proficiency in:
- Alarm confirmation processes that reduce false alarms.
- Communications with 911 centers and public safety answering points.
- Emergency preparedness across a wide range of scenarios.
- Technical knowledge of electronic communication systems, including cellular, radio, and internet.
- Understanding of industry codes and standards, including UL, FM, and NFPA requirements.
