What to do when I get a low battery signal?

A low battery signal is not an emergency signal. A low battery signal may originate from the main alarm control unit or it may originate from a wireless detection device. Your keypad may display this issue, or you may receive a text or e-mail. If the low battery signals follows a local power failure the problem may correct itself once the power comes back on and the battery has had a chance to recharge. The problem may clear itself. If the low battery signal is related to a wireless detection device the battery will need to be replaced. Usually, a sensor’s low battery signal will allow up to 2 -3 weeks before the battery is totally depleted.
