Damar Security Systems is proud to be affiliated with the following security associations:
The Canadian Security Association was established in 1977 as a non-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the security industry and supporting Canadian security professionals.
CANASA protects and promotes the interests of its members and the safety of all Canadians through education, advocacy, and leadership. Damar Security is a founding member of the organization. And today, Dave Currie serves on the Education Committee and is an active instructor for the Alarm Technician Training Program.
Central Risk and Insurance Management Services Ltd.
Central Risk & Insurance Management Services Ltd. (CRIMS®) is a subsidiary of Central 1 Credit Union (Central). They provide two primary functions for Credit Unions in Insurance Services and Risk Management.
The Risk Management group educates and provides guidance to Credit Unions on ULC Physical Security requirements for intrusion, fire and video surveillance. Damar Security Systems has been granted the esteemed honour of becoming an Approved Vendor for Alarm Service for ULC Certified Systems for Financial Institutions.
Central Station Alarm Association
The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) is a trade association that represents companies offering security (alarm) monitoring systems through a central station. It also represents companies that provide services and products to the industry.
Our member companies operate central station alarm monitoring systems that have been certified by a CSAA-approved Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTI), such as FM Global, Intertek (ETL), and UL. Such certification assures customers, their insurance companies, and their local emergency service agencies that CSAA members provide the highest quality and most reliable burglar and fire alarm service available to residential and commercial clients.
Five Diamond companies have demonstrated an exceptionally high degree of responsibility to their local community and their customers through the investment of time, money and commitment to 100% quality operator training. Damar Security Systems is the ninth company in all of Canada to receive the “Five Diamond Certified” status.
The IQ Certification Program was founded in 1997 to set standards and provide consumers with a way to identify alarm companies that are committed to excellence. The organization recognizes only the most qualified and professional security companies in the industry.
In order to earn IQ Certification, Damar Security underwent a rigorous evaluation by the IQ Certification Board, made up of security, law enforcement, fire, state regulatory and insurance industry representatives.
To ensure that we continue to meet the IQ Certification standards, we annually demonstrate to the Board that we meet the IQ Certification guidelines to earn re-certification.
Security Network of America
The Security Network of America was created over 20 years ago to help a select group of independent security firms compete with the larger national companies. By sharing industry knowledge and financial resources, our members are better equipped to achieve success in the marketplace.
Our organization is made up of elite security companies possessing the same core values: an entrepreneurial spirit, a proven track record in the community, an unmatched level of technological expertise and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. SNA member companies share business strategies and industry knowledge, and benefit from increased buying power to always be on the cutting edge of technology and security products.
With national strength and local responsiveness, no wonder more than six hundred thousand homes and businesses trust SNA.
